According to the (European Cycling Federation) ECF information
- CO2/km value of a car amounts to: 229 g
- CO2/km value of a bike is 16 g considering an average European diet
- In the end, you emit 229-16 = 213 g CO2/km less
- We do not include CO2 emitted by the car factory, as someone would eventually buy the car.
- We do not include CO2 emitted by the bike factory, as someone would eventually buy the bike or use the public bike.
